Celebrate Diwali

Decorate this Diwali
with the depth of relations,
Not with the height of
decibels in explosions.

Let's spread the fragrance
of mutual joy and laughter,
It's unfair to pollute with
the smoke of crackers.

Let's make noise together
when our country shines,
Let's not annoy the neighbors
with the unwanted sounds.

Let's scatter the light
of love and care,
Let's illuminate the heart's
with concern and share!

Let's respect the five
valuable gifts of nature,
Freely available are fire-
water-earth-space-air!

Volunteer for safety
health and friendliest,
In this way "HAPPY DIWALI"
makes true sense!

Diwali

On a dark no-moon day, comes Diwali.
Sing children joyfully, "aali re aali, Diwali aali".

Tiny lamps, make this dark no-moon night bright.
Indeed this is a beautiful, eye-pleasing sight.

Children, I know, crackers you love to burst.
But kindly a minute spare, and listen to me first.

Minutes a few of fun,
cause problems very big grave.
People many suffocated feel;
 And the pollution we pave.

Frighten we, little babies and of course, dogs too.
In the future, about our actions insane, we will rue.

Celebrate let us Diwali, with beautiful,
colorful Rangolis & lights.Share sweets special;
homemade & healthy.

Helping moms to them make,
even if you're wealthy.

Let's a portion small of these goodies,
with the less fortunate share.

Prove let us to ourselves,
that we really and truly care.

Diwali Story

The people shed so many tears,
When Rama left for fourteen years.
Fourteen years, in a forest deep,
Where he and Sita used to sleep.

Until Ravana spoiled his life,
By stealing Sita for a wife.
He took her in his chariot high,
Over the sea and across the sky.

The Monkey King called Hanu
Helped King Rama with a plan.
He built a bridge across the sea,
So Rama could meet Sita.

Then, in a battle, fierce and long,
Rema showed how he was strong.
Rovena killed, and Sita saved,
Rama was so bold and brave.

On his return to Ayodhya city,
The people made his journey pretty.
By lighting lamps along his way,
And so it was until this day.

The diva lamps, like guiding lights,
Remind us all that good is right.
And from the dark of ignorant ways,
Grants knowledge for all our future days.

Festival of Lights

It's the "Festival of Lights" today,
It's again the day of Diwali,
It's time to dress up folks,
It's time to adorn the thali.

It's the occasion to throng the temples,
Pray to the Gods and give them offerings,
It's an opportunity to entreat the deities,
To bless us all and rid us of burden.

It's the day to light the diyas,
Ignite the rockets and burst crackers,
But it's also the time to be safe,
From the fireworks and all the sparklers.

It's the season to pay a visit,
To all our friends and relations,
To hand them over sweets and presents,
Diwali is our splendid chance.

But while you spend a time of joy,
Don't think it's merriment all the way,
Out there wait for many of those,
For whom it's no time to be gay.

Denied of laughter and smiles for days,
They know not what it is to enjoy,
Can you not share something you have,
Can you not bring them a little joy?

When you can make someone else smile
When you can be someone's ally
That's when you can yourself be glad
That's when you'll have a HAPPY DIWALI!

Diwali is a Delight

Diwali is delight, Diwali poems, poems, poetry , Diwali festival
Diwali is Delight

Diwali is a delight, Diwali is a delight,
No dark night, Everywhere light.

Things are bright, Diwali is a delight,
Have a sweet bite, Fireworks at height.

Joyful sight, Diwali is a delight,
Bliss and peace we should invite,
On this lit Diwali night.

Diwali is a delight, Diwali is a delight,
Let the glow be bright and bright,
Nothing dark should be inside.

Let not crackers show their might,
Nor should smoke reach a new height,
Let not pollution sharply bright,
Do what you can in this fight.

Let's enjoy the tasty diet,
But for display, it's only light,
Diwali is a delight, Diwali is a delight.

Deepavali

Deepavali is here, Deepavali is here
That grand festival of Lights
That ends evil after a protracted fight
When good with all its might
This leads us from darkness to Light.

Deepavali is here, Deepavali is here
That great festival of sound
When crackers and laughter abound
When crackers and sparklers light up the sky
When delighted children jump with joy.

Deepavali is here, Deepavali is here
That gorgeous festival of snacks and sweets
Where everyone enjoys a royal feast
When old and young with delight meet
With love and affection, all hearts beat.

Deepavali is here, Deepavali is here
That gracious festival which celebrates victory
The ancient festival of myth and mystery
That is mentioned in both mythology and history
The festival that signals Triumph over Tragedy.

Diwali Day

Diwali is a day of love and joy,
It is celebrated happily by
each and every person.
A festival of happiness and love,
Sharing gifts, blessings, and love.

Diwali is known to be the festival of lights,
So, take a pledge to leave every fight.
Let us celebrate it in a new way,
Diwali is a special and happy day.

On this day try to create positivity in you,
And try out something unique and new
Diwali is a day of happiness and joy,
It is celebrated happily by each and every person.

Let us promise to celebrate Diwali bright,
By not bursting the crackers
and enjoying their light.
On Diwali,  due to pollution,
there are many dead lives,
It is equal to murder with sharp knives.

Instead of crackers let us
celebrate it in a new way,
By sharing gifts with the

poor and making their day.
Diwali is a day of love and joy,
It is celebrated happily by
 each and every person.

May God showers his blessings on you,
And don't burst crackers even one or two
.
Happy Diwali to everyone,
May God shower his blessings on your plenty.

Diwali - Festival of Lights

Today's the ‘Festival of Lights’ all o'er;
A joyful day for hearts and minds and souls;
And people throng the Temples to offer,
Prayers, resolving to take better roles.

And most of them are richly clad and pure,
And eat dainty foods and sweets with mirth;
Whilst noisy crackers burst, their lights are seen,
It seems to be a cheerful day on Earth!

But are there not hearts woe-filled, very sad?
Denied of laughter, smiles for days;
Today's the triumph of Good over bad;
But what about the wastage in many ways?
True joy is once you see somebody else smile!
True charity gives joy in Heav'nly style.

 Spirit of Diwali festival

The clear blue sky,
The scent of flowers,
The colors of Rangoli,
And the sound of crackers.

The gifts and sweets from dear ones,
And the getting of their love,
The light of the candles below,
And the dazzling fireworks up above.

Lighting lamps at our homes,
Making the less fortunate smile,
Putting on new apparels,
Show our friends some style.

Paying respects to the gods,
And decorating for them the thali,
This is what the occasion is all about,
This is the spirit of Diwali.
